Softphone to make and receive calls
MightyCall allows you to make and receive calls from your computer using a softphone.
What is a softphone?
A softphone (soft client telephone, software telephone) is an application program that enables voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone calls from computing devices. In simpler language, it’s a way to use your computer to make and receive phone calls.
Why is that useful?
MightyCall strives to give you a variety of tools to use, so depending on your circumstances you can use a softphone instead of a (physical) cell phone or our embedded web-phone. A softphone can be preferable to the web phone because you don’t have to keep a browser window open.
If you already use softphones, you can easy customize them with MightyCall to match your needs.
Do you need a technical expert to use MightyCall’s softphone setting?
In most cases, setting up a connection takes only a few minutes and doesn’t require any special skills. If you feel you have specific network settings that may complicate things, don’t hesitate to contact our support center.
Why is the softphone valuable?
If your employees handle calls, this is an efficient way for them to work. The softphone starts up simultaneously with a computer, so employees start call processing immediately. Give them a headset (unless the whole office wants to listen in) and let them do their thing without having to use their cell phone all day.
