What is GoTo Connect?

GoTo Connect is a cloud-based VoIP phone system developed by GoTo Technologies USA, Inc., a SaaS company formerly known as LogMeIn. What is MightyCall?

MightyCall is a cloud-based business phone service designed for growing and mid-sized businesses. It offers enterprise-grade performance and helps teams handle high call volumes without a complex infrastructure or IT support.

The company was founded in 2013 and is remote-first, with headquarters in San Francisco. MightyCall’s platform is built to support remote work, distributed teams, and fast-paced operations. Most of its customers are based in the U.S. and Canada, but the service also includes international calling features.

Key differences between GoTo Connect and MightyCall

Let’s compare MightyCall and GoTo Connect side by side.

Call monitoring

MightyCall offers a complete suite of live call monitoring features starting from its second-tier plan:

  • Call listening – lets supervisors silently monitor active calls for quality assurance.
  • Call whisper – allows managers to coach agents during calls without the customer hearing.
  • Call barging – enables supervisors to jump into calls when needed.
  • Call intercept – gives supervisors the ability to take over the conversation entirely when necessary.

GoTo Connect offers similar functionality, but it’s only available with its custom-priced enterprise plans. Even then, it lacks the same level of granular control found in MightyCall’s suite.

Winner: MightyCall

Video meetings

Unlike MightyCall, GoTo Connect includes full video conferencing capabilities with meetings for up to 250 participants, plus built-in chat and screen sharing. Teams that often meet online or need easy video calls with clients will find it useful.

MightyCall does not currently support video conferencing.

Winner: GoTo Connect

Auto dialers

Unlike GoTo Connect, MightyCall comes equipped with three types of dialers:

  • Preview dialer – lets agents view contact details before connecting.
  • Progressive dialer – automatically connects to the next number once the agent is available.
  • Predictive dialer – dials multiple numbers simultaneously and connects answered calls to available agents.

MightyCall’s auto dialer includes helpful extras like answering machine detection, which skips over voicemails to save your team time, and integration with the National Do Not Call Registry.

MightyCall’s Auto Dialer

In contrast, GoTo Connect offers limited features, such as agentless dialer and preview dialing capabilities, but all of them are gated behind the highest-tier plan.

Winner: MightyCall

Multi-channel customer experience tools

GoTo Connect includes a robust set of tools aimed at multi-channel customer engagement:

  • SMS/MMS campaigns, AI-powered messaging, and survey tools help manage outreach and feedback.
  • Channels like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and website chat are supported natively for a more connected customer experience.

The difference between them is that MightyCall focuses more on core voice and SMS capabilities, without native support for social channels.

Winner: GoTo Connect

MightyCall and GoTo Connect similarities

This comparison wouldn’t be complete without pointing out the similarities:

Advanced call management

Both MightyCall and GoTo Connect include a good range of call handling tools. MightyCall provides IVR, a visual call flow designer, warm and cold transfers, and 3-way calling across all plans. Ring groups and customizable routing give teams flexibility in managing incoming communications.

GoTo Connect also supports call flows with smart routing and customizable dial plans. However, more advanced features, such as call campaigns and ring strategy options, are limited to higher enterprise tiers.

Custom roles and permissions

GoTo Connect gives admins the ability to assign users to both system-generated and custom roles, with full editing capabilities to match company structures.

Compared to GoTo Connect, MightyCall offers similar tools, with slightly more detail in terms of how agents and supervisors are managed; still, both platforms provide strong options for managing user access and roles.

MightyCall Call Center – Custom user roles

User & team management

Both offer useful tools for managing users and teams, including features like extensions and call handling options. MightyCall adds custom statuses (such as “on break” or “in a meeting”), “do not disturb” modes, and conference calling across all plans. It also provides each agent with a personal workspace to manage calls and tasks.

GoTo Connect offers similar capabilities, but compared to MightyCall, reserves a dedicated agent dashboard for its highest-tier plan, which may limit visibility and control for daily workflows.

Analytics and summaries

Reporting is generally comparable across both GoTo Connect and MightyCall for most small to mid-sized business needs.

MightyCall provides real-time analytics and AI-generated call summaries on request, which gives teams the tools they need to track performance and call activity effectively. GoTo Connect has customizable dashboards and detailed interaction data.

Advanced integrations

MightyCall currently integrates with HubSpot, Salesforce, Balto, and Zapier, with Zoho on the way. The essential integrations are there. GoTo Connect supports direct integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and Zoho, which makes it a natural fit for businesses using larger CRM platforms.

GoTo Connect vs MightyCall presents a contrast in pricing approach. One offers quote-based custom pricing, and the other delivers clear, predictable plans.

Difference between GoTo Connect and MightyCall user support and satisfaction

Here’s a quick look at how user support and satisfaction differ between MightyCall and GoTo Connect:

GoTo Connect

GoTo Connect provides customer support via live chat, phone, and a self-service knowledge base. Support teams are generally responsive during setup and training.

However, some users express frustration with the increasing reliance on AI-based responses and difficulties reaching a live agent for urgent issues.

  • What they love: Reliable, feature-rich, and great for mobile and hybrid teams. Long-term users appreciate the responsive support and ease of onboarding, especially for remote work. Transcriptions, app flexibility, and affordability are also highlights.
  • What they don’t love: Some report slow customer service, difficulty reaching a real person, and overall frustration. A few experienced integration limits, clunky reports, or slow feature activation. Complaints include unexpected fees, contract auto-renewals, and fax or call drop issues.

G2 rating: 4.4/5.0

Goto handles all of our store needs. It is extremely user friendly and I love that everything can be adjusted automatically by us using the admin dashboard. Additionally the cohesion with the app is an absolute must have. Our salespeople are always on the move so the fact that the phone system can be used on our cell phones is a lifesaver and a must have for our business.

MightyCall

MightyCall offers support through live chat, email, and a detailed help center. Customers on all plans can reach a real human, and response times are often under 15 minutes. Many users say the team is patient, proactive, and especially helpful for smaller businesses without in-house IT support.

  • What they love: Users appreciate MightyCall’s quick, helpful support, smooth onboarding, and easy-to-navigate interface. It’s simple to set up, works well across devices, and fits into daily workflows without hassle. Teams also like the reliable performance and flexibility for remote or hybrid setups.
  • What they don’t love: Criticism focuses on occasional bugs. The mobile app can lag, especially after updates. Voicemail transcription lacks accuracy, and some users find SMS limits and billing terms unclear.
