How we evaluated these alternatives to Kixie

We’ve selected important criteria in our rankings:

  • Features: Arguably, the most essential aspect of a telephony company is the features it offers.
  • Price and availability: Service providers often offer tiered pricing. Many of these competitors are not necessarily better, but some could be significantly so.
  • The possibility of integration: As the internet becomes more integrated into our lives, it is becoming more important than ever.
  • Total cost (including add-ons): Sometimes, price can be a tricky metric to evaluate. The flat price typically covers the program itself; however, some of these companies don’t include everything listed in the original price.
  • Call quality: The quality of a call matters. The other features are crucial, of course, but a phone company’s call capabilities are still the most important aspect.
  • User support: Even the top alternatives to Kixie can still cause issues. It’s crucial to have a support staff that can help you iron out those errors.

Why businesses choose Kixie

Drawing from user reviews and expert analyses, here are four reasons why companies opt for Kixie:

  • CRM integration: Kixie offers rich bi-directional CRM integrations so that all calls and messages are automatically logged. It makes handling customer interactions easier for sales teams and keeps their data spot-on.
  • Advanced call management features: The platform includes a 10-line dialer, smart automations, voicemail drops, and automated follow-ups. These help sales teams increase efficiency and maintain consistent communication with prospects.
  • Exceptional customer support: Kixie’s support team is friendly, quick to respond, and really knows their stuff. Users rate them 9.6 out of 10.
  • User-friendly interface: Kixie scores 9.4 on G2 for ease of use, with a straightforward interface that makes getting started and handling daily tasks simple. Teams can focus on their core work without spending excessive time on training.

Why consider Kixie alternatives?

Kixie is a good platform for sales and support teams, but many businesses explore other companies like Kixie because certain limitations affect efficiency or don’t meet specific needs. Here’s a closer look at the most common reasons:

Lacks predictive dialer

While Kixie provides a power dialer for outbound calls, it doesn’t include a predictive dialer, which many outbound call centers rely on to maximize agent talk time and reduce idle periods. Teams handling high-volume calling campaigns may find this limitation more significant than on other dialer platforms.

Limited omnichannel capabilities

Even though Kixie excels at voice and SMS communication, it offers limited integration with other channels, such as email, live chat, and social media messaging. Businesses looking for a fully unified communication platform will find this restrictive.

Dashboard customization limitations

Kixie’s dashboards provide valuable insights for managing calls and team performance. However, some users feel they could use more flexibility to adjust metrics and reports to fit their specific workflows.

Learning curve

New users notice that mastering all of Kixie’s features takes time. Teams need initial training or trial-and-error to get the most out of its advanced functionalities, which slows down early adoption.

Mobile app bugs and performance issues

The mobile app allows on-the-go communication, but users report occasional glitches, slowdowns, or crashes. These issues can disrupt work processes, especially for teams that rely on mobile calling and texting throughout the day.

What stands out most about MightyCall for our company is how well they accommodate even very small businesses with limited requirements, ensuring we still receive the services we need. Although their platform offers far more features than we are likely to use, it never feels overwhelming, and we are never made to feel out of place for not needing everything they provide. Previously, we had difficulty implementing certain features with another provider that was supposedly better suited for small companies, which ultimately led us to switch. Since moving to MightyCall, the experience has been much smoother. Their platform is easier to use, and their support team has been exceptionally friendly and well-equipped to help us set up our systems, even when our needs didn't fit their typical scenarios. Throughout our time with them, they have consistently been responsive, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable.

  • Enhanced security and compliance: Emphasizes security with features like end-to-end encryption and compliance with GDPR and HIPAA regulations.
  • AI-powered lead handling: JustCall’s AI agents can capture leads even when teams are offline. Kixie doesn’t offer tools that work independently outside business hours.
  • Simplified team workflow: Offers automated insights and a unified workspace for managing multiple calls simultaneously.

JustCall limitations

  • Limited advanced analytics: While JustCall offers some insights, it doesn’t provide as deep or customizable reporting as some larger enterprise-focused dialers.
  • Learning curve for new users: The platform’s multiple features and integrations can be overwhelming for smaller teams or those new to cloud-based dialers.

What customers are saying

Rating: 4.3/5 on G2

Users like JustCall for its simplicity and reliability. Its SMS and calling features, quick-reply options, and support for international numbers make reaching customers fast and straightforward. Many also appreciate that it works well across devices and allows teams to work remotely without a hitch.

On the other hand, some find onboarding a bit tricky, and call quality can drop if the internet is weak or usage is high. Support is helpful but can take a while to respond, and minor quirks like multi-device notifications or small integration issues pop up from time to time.

The setup process can feel a little confusing at first — especially when you’re porting a number from another provider like Twilio or configuring the 10DLC registration. –

  • Custom call menus and unified inbox: This competitor allows users to create personalized call flows, group calls, and a shared inbox. Kixie’s dashboards and call management are less customizable.

RingCentral limitations

  • Add-on costs: Advanced tools, such as AI analytics and enhanced integrations, are not included in the base plan, which increases overall costs for large deployments.
  • Feature overload for smaller teams: The wide range of functionalities may be unnecessary for smaller teams or simple setups, and the interface can feel complex or overwhelming.

Most users rely on RingCentral for its reliability and clear call quality. They like that it’s easy to set up, works across devices, and integrates with CRMs and other tools, which keeps their workflow organized. Features such as call recordings, messaging, and call tracking are called out as particularly helpful.

Aircall limitations

  • Limited dialer features: Aircall lacks the full range of predictive dialing features that some high-volume sales teams may require.
  • Higher cost for full features: Accessing AI tools, advanced integrations, and expanded functionalities requires higher-tier plans.

Teams like how they can handle calls across different devices, keep track of interactions through CRM and helpdesk integrations, and help with customer support. Features like call management and basic reporting help keep things organized and make daily work simpler.

Some users do notice occasional call delays, and advanced features can get pricey for smaller teams. A few mention that dialing or seeing Aircall data directly in their CRM could be smoother.

One issue is that text messages do not sync with the CRM platform our company uses. Additionally, it’s not possible to send multiple test messages to a list of contacts. I also find it frustrating that I can’t send ringless voice messages to contacts. –

  • Integrated reporting and call tracking: Built-in analytics and call monitoring tools allow teams to measure performance and optimize workflows without relying heavily on third-party tools.

Aloware limitations

  • User minimums: Plans require a minimum number of users (5-10), which is restrictive for very small teams or solo agents.
  • Fewer native integrations for niche apps: While Aloware connects with major CRMs, support for less common or industry-specific tools is limited.

What customers are saying

Users love Aloware for bringing calls, texts, power dialing, and CRM integration together in one platform. The easy-to-use interface, AI call summaries, and automation help teams work more efficiently, and the platform handles high call volumes while offering helpful support.

Some users mention a few downsides, such as the mobile app being less responsive, occasional call drops or delays, and, like Kixie, a slight learning curve for more advanced workflows.

There’s this issue that I am currently encountering with Aloware wherein I will make the outbound call and it will just go to the background. I cannot interact with it; I cannot send the voicemail recording if it goes to voicemail and I cannot end the call. It really is a hassle for me. –

People also value how easy it is to bring new team members on board, handle high call volumes, and work remotely without interruptions.

On the flip side, some report minor glitches, like calls dropping, slow app startup, or delays in syncing with CRMs. Others wish call recordings could be accessed directly in the CRM and that internal call transfers were faster.

Sometimes, the desktop app can lag a bit when handling multiple outbound calls at once or syncing with other tools in real time. I’d also love to see more customization options for reporting dashboards. –

How to choose the right Kixie alternative?

Finding the right service provider depends on what your business truly needs from a dialing solution. With numerous tools available on the market, it’s essential to evaluate each option carefully. Here are key factors to consider:

  • Feature set: Ensure the platform provides the specific tools your team relies on. Some alternatives may specialize in sales outreach, while others are better for customer support.
  • Ease of use: A user-friendly interface can significantly reduce onboarding time and help your team stay productive.
  • Integration capabilities: Check whether the service integrates with your CRM, helpdesk software, or productivity tools. Seamless integration can automate tasks and reduce manual data entry.
  • Call quality and reliability: Prioritize providers known for high uptime and clear audio, especially if your business relies on real-time communication.
  • Scalability: Choose a solution that can grow with your business. Whether you’re adding users or expanding into new regions, the system should handle increased demand without complications.
  • Pricing and value: Look beyond the monthly fee. Compare what each plan includes. Some providers charge extra for essential features, while others offer better all-in-one pricing.
  • Customer support: Responsive support can make a significant difference, especially during setup or when encountering technical issues.
