Why do businesses opt for CallHippo?

CallHippo is considered a reliable call center, and it’s not surprising that businesses opt for this specific service. As to why, the answer is rather simple. Their blend of easy integration and user-friendly design makes it especially appealing to startups, SMBs, and even remote teams. Let’s break down the reasoning in more detail.

  • Global reach. CallHippo allows businesses to establish a local presence by purchasing local or toll-free numbers. This is particularly beneficial for companies seeking to expand internationally without announcing bankruptcy.
  • Seamless CRM integrations. The platform easily integrates with popular CRM systems like Salesforce, Zoho, and HubSpot.
  • Call management features. CallHippo offers intelligent call routing and multi-level IVR.
  • Cost-effective solutions. With their Starter plan at $18 per user per month, CallHippo offers affordable options for businesses of all sizes.

There are many companies like CallHippo, but due to their features and simplicity of use, this service remains one of the top call center choices.

Why consider CallHippo alternatives?

While CallHippo offers a great call center with excellent and necessary features, some businesses look for alternatives due to specific limitations of CallHippo that impact their operations. We looked through user reviews to understand what makes companies look for other options, and here’s what we found.

1. Limited IVR customization

Although CallHippo’s IVR system is great, it lacks the depth of customization found in other platforms. This can be considered a serious limitation, especially for companies that are highly user-centric and aim for exceptional customer service.

2. Dialers

In terms of dialers, CallHippo is very limited (and expensive). While MightyCall offers power, predictive, and preview dialers, CallHippo only offers power and parallel dialers. Their power dialer is part of their enterprise plan, but the parallel dialer is included in either their $25 per user/month or $200 per user/month pricing plans. The problem is that the parallel dialer’s capabilities are quite limited under their $25 per user/month plan, and to use its full potential, you will have to opt for their $200 plan.

MightyCall is more affordable in that sense. For a $40 per user/month plan, you can access the preview and progressive dialers. Additionally, all pricing plans offer advanced roles and permissions, so you can manage your workflow and operations even more easily!

3. Less flexible call routing

Call routing is very important for businesses. While CallHippo has all the basics, it lacks flexibility. There might be a learning curve for more complex routing.

4. Basic conference call features

For teams that rely on conference calls, CallHippo’s features may seem limited. They do not offer video support, only a small number of participants can join, and the control over calls is rather limited.

5. Mobile application limitations

Some users have reported that the mobile version of CallHippo doesn’t perform as well as the desktop version, which can be a drawback for teams that need mobile functionality more.

6. Customer support responsiveness

Timely support is essential. In some instances, users have experienced delays in receiving responses from CallHippo’s support team, which has impacted their operations and overall experience using the service.

7. Pricing considerations

While CallHippo offers competitive pricing, some users feel that the cost does not align with the features provided, especially when compared to other platforms that offer more advanced functionalities at similar or lower prices.

Hate Zoom AI, especially in the context of Zoom Phone. I cannot imagine a feature I have ever wanted LESS than one that listens to all my voicemails in order to leave me a summary when I could simply… listen to the voicemail. Also generally hate the way that the AI has been marketed to managers as a way to micromanage employees- I don’t want to listen to their client calls and have an AI identify any problems for me. I do not want to surveille them like this.

How to choose the right CallHippo alternative?

Selecting the right alternative to CallHippo requires a careful evaluation of your business’s communication needs and objectives. When you’re looking for a call center software, consider the following:

  • Feature set and customization capabilities: Ensure the provider offers essential features, such as call routing, IVR, voicemail-to-email, and call recording. Customization options allow you to adjust the system to your specific workflows and business processes.
  • Integration capabilities: Look for solutions that can easily integrate with your existing CRM, helpdesk, and other business tools.
  • Reliability and uptime: Opt for providers that guarantee high uptime (ideally 99.99% or higher) to ensure uninterrupted communication.
  • Pricing and value: Look at the pricing structure to ensure it is comfortable for your budget while offering the necessary features.
  • Customer support: Responsive and knowledgeable customer support is super important. Check if the provider offers 24/7 support, dedicated account managers, and multiple support channels.
  • Security and compliance: Verify that the provider adheres to industry-standard security protocols and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) to protect sensitive data.

If you evaluate your potential alternatives based on these criteria, you can select the best CallHippo alternative for business that not only matches but potentially exceeds CallHippo’s capabilities.

Find the right solution for your business

We’ve looked at the top CallHippo alternatives. Choosing the right call center platform can be challenging. Especially when it can significantly impact your team’s productivity and customer experience. While CallHippo offers a solid range of features, exploring other providers can help you discover tools better suited to your specific goals.

If you’re looking for AI solutions, then Dialpad can be the best option for you. If you need integration flexibility and an AI voice agent, then Aircall will fit you better. If you just need something simpler and cheaper, Google Voice for Business is the way to go.

However, if you’re looking for a more intuitive interface and down-to-earth pricing, MightyCall could be the perfect fit for your business.
