What is call campaign scheduling?
MightyCall’s call campaign scheduling feature lets you define the exact days and times your outbound dialer campaigns run, ensuring your team reaches customers when they’re most likely to answer.
It also helps ensure compliance with legal calling hours while maximizing agent productivity.
How to schedule call campaigns in MightyCall
In MightyCall, call campaign scheduling is fully integrated into the outbound campaign settings and is part of the first step in the campaign setup – general settings.
Here are the configurable settings for scheduled campaigns available for any outbound campaign:
1. Timezone selection: Default is local time, but it can be changed based on what time zone you’re going to run your campaign in.
2. Start and End Dates
- Set the campaign’s Start Date
- Optional End Date
- After the dates are set up, you’ll see the total duration of the campaign in days.
3. Day and Time Selection
- Choose specific days of the week and times per each day.
- Full day is another option to initiate calls throughout the whole day
Once the campaign is fully configured, it appears in your campaign dashboard as:
- Scheduled if Start Date is set. The campaign will start automatically on that date.
- Ready if no dates are set, meaning it can be launched manually and will run until all leads are contacted.
- Incomplete if agents, numbers, or contact list are missing, and cannot be launched.
There are 2 statuses that are based on 2 types of outcomes:
- Completed – Campaign finished calling all contacts in the list.
- Expired – End Date reached before all contacts were called.
Things to consider while scheduling your campaign
MightyCall’s scheduling tools are designed to give you full control while keeping your campaigns legally compliant. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Start & end date rules
- Start date – Cannot be set earlier than today. If it is, MightyCall will automatically adjust it to today’s date. Must be no more than 3 months in the future.
- End date -Must be at least one day after the Start Date or today’s date. Can’t exceed 3 months from the Start Date (or from today if no Start Date is set).
2. Day and time scheduling
- Note: Set the campaign working hours during which it will send call requests to agents. Without set hours, available agents will receive requests 24/7. If no agents are available, the campaign won’t make calls, even if it’s within the scheduled days and hours.
- Important: Calls must follow TCPA time restrictions — you may only call contacts between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time. These hours are enforced by default in MightyCall.
3. Editing Limitations by Campaign Status
- Scheduled – All fields can be edited.
- Paused – You can change the timezone, end date, days, and hours of calling. Start date can only be edited if the campaign has not been launched yet.
- Running – You cannot edit timezone, start date, end date, or business hours.
